Why would a psychic prediction change? This is a thought that has haunted me since my very first reading. Does that mean our paths aren’t set out for us and our free will is changing it? Or is someone else’s free will changing it? Or is the psychic just not giving you an accurate reading? There are so many questions that come up when a really good psychic predicts something that doesn’t come true.
This article is a follow up to my article ‘How Accurate is a Psychic Reading’. I wrote it a few years ago but have found more answers from my own experiences in getting readings. Check out that article as well as it also provides some great insights in psychic predictions and their accuracy. You’ll find some of the same things in both articles. However, this article is much newer, I’ve had more experience and acquired more knowledge since then.
After countless readings and research, I believe I have more answers as to why a psychic prediction may change.
Why a Psychic Prediction May Change
#1 Reason - The Psychic’s Energy and Your Energy Don’t Blend Well Together
Just as some people don’t connect well in life, you and the psychic might not connect well. Have you ever met someone that you just didn’t click with? Or upon first meeting someone, they say something that throws you off. You may get a bad first impression and therefore, you aren’t interested in getting to know them better.
This can influence the reading to a certain degree. If you aren’t connecting to each other then the psychic may receive a fuzzy signal. This can make it more difficult to read the energy.
This energy mismatch can cause you to close yourself off and it will be more difficult to receive clear answers.
The best way to see if your energies match is to watch a video of them and see if you like their energy. Most people have websites and YouTube channels that you can watch to see if you’d be a good fit. See if you like how they do readings. If you are feeling a connection to contact them, chances are they will be a good fit.
If you aren’t able to scope out their energy before you go to them, use your intuition and see how it feels when you contact them. Check out their website and see if what they talk about resonates with you. Basically, do some research before you go for a reading.
If you feel like nothing resonates with you in the reading, it’s a good idea to take it with a grain of salt. Live your life and don’t live by the reading, especially if it doesn’t feel right for you.
A good way to know if something resonates with you is if it causes an emotional reaction from you and it makes sense for your situation. For example, you may cry because it is connecting with a deep part of you. Or when the psychic talks, it is exactly how you’ve been feeling lately.
Also, if the one-hour reading feels like 5 minutes there is a good chance it is meant for you. That works the other way as well. If your one-hour reading feels like 5 hours, then it might not be accurate for you. The reason for this is because when you are living in the moment and really connecting to your truth, time flies. When you are absorbing the information and know that it is meant for you, time will pass without you realizing it because you are very much in the moment. The saying “time fly’s when you’re having fun” applies here.
When you aren’t living in your truth and doing something strictly out of necessity then time slows right down. When you aren’t present and thinking of all the things you’d rather be doing time slows way down. That is because what you are doing in the moment isn’t your highest excitement and therefore probably not for you.
#2 Reason - The Psychic Is Isn’t Feeling Well and/or Having an Off Day
If the psychic is sick or has their own problems on their mind, it is more difficult for them to access divine information. They may be an amazing reader, but their own energy can cause the reading to be off.
If they are sick then their body is using its energy to heal and they have less energy to work with their spirit guides and receive information for you.
If they are stressed, then some of their own stuff may come into your reading even if it’s not true for you. Psychics have to filter everything through their own senses. The more cluttered up they are, the more difficult it is to read for you.
I like to think that if they are sick or really stressed, they will reschedule the reading. I believe it’s only fair to you as a paying client. But if they are trying to push through it, it may cause your reading to not be as accurate and the outcome will be different than what they predict.
#3 Reason - You Changed Your Path
It is completely possible to change your path after a reading. In fact, just hearing your own psychic predictions may be enough for you to change your path whether you realize you are or not.
Readings are meant to empower you so if you see something you don’t like, it is up to you to change it. The reading shows you your most likely path from where you are now, but you have free will and can change it.
For example, if you are shown that you are headed for an illness, you may decide to do a complete overhaul of your health and change it. You may start exercising, eating healthier and doing something about your anxiety. Stress is a major contributor to illness. You may live an entirely different lifestyle and therefore change the outcome of the reading.
#4 Reason - Someone Else Changed Their Path
Your psychic prediction may change because of someone else’s free will. We are co-creators in this universe so someone else can cause the outcome of your reading to be different than predicted.
For example, if the psychic see’s you married to someone, that person may change their mind. Or if they tell you that you and your ex will not get back together but your ex changes their mind, then the reading is altered by their free will.
This works in any area. Maybe you’ve applied for a job and it was given to someone else. The interviewers really liked you and you were next in line but the person they offered it to took it. The psychic see’s that you won’t get it as it is now someone else’s. Then, the person that took the job decides it’s not for them and quits so it is offered to you. That other persons free will changed the outcome of your reading.
We have free will so it is entirely possible to change a prediction. The psychic reads probabilities with high potentials. They factor in past experience, how things are currently going in your life and where you are headed according to your souls’ plan. So many of these high probabilities can come true but they may also be altered by many different factors.
#5 Reason - There are Many Paths & the Psychic Only Gives You One Probably Path
Psychics usually read one timeline; however, there can be many possible paths. The path they tap into depends on many things such as your energy, their energy, how they read and the closest and most probable timeline.
Also, the destination may be the same but the path to it can vary. For example, they may see you married to a certain person and say that you’ll meet this person at work. However, you choose a different path and don’t take the job that is offered to you where you are supposed to meet this person. But you meet this same person through a friend. So, the destination was the same but the path to get there was different than what was predicted.
The destination may also be different but just as significant and fulfilling. For example, they might see you taking a certain path that leads you to become a motivational speaker. There are many options available to you and you choose a less high-profile job of helping people one-on-one instead. You are just as fulfilled by both paths, but you chose a slightly different one than the psychic seen.
#6 Reason - You Altered How You Act Because of the Reading
This is similar to #3 but it is more of an unconscious act. #3 refers to you trying to change your path and this refers to you changing how you act without realizing that you are now in fact, altering the outcome of the reading.
They say that just by viewing something, it can change the outcome. What that means is that if you received a reading and retained the information presented to you, that is enough to change the outcome.
Why? Because you are now thinking of the future in a different way than you were before you received the reading. Your perception has changed and via Law of Attraction you may now be attracting different things just from receiving that information.
Is this a good or a bad thing? It can be either. If you don’t like what the reader presented, you can shift your mindset to change it to a more favorable outcome.
But if you liked what they said and then got anxiety about it not happening and throw resistance into your path then you may not like the outcome you get.
As another example, if you hear that you and a certain person will date and then you decide to reach out to them even though the timing doesn’t feel right, you might mess it up. Perhaps the psychic seen you together but that was when you allowed the events to unfold naturally. By you changing how you act according to the reading, it has now changed the path and the outcome has been altered. This is just one example of how someone may alter their actions based on a reading and therefore, alter the outcome.
It is up to you what you want to create. By simply hearing something in a reading it may alter your path. It doesn’t always work that way, but it can happen.
It is important to always act according to your truth and intuition and not just because a psychic reader tells you that it is a good idea. They can offer support and advice but ultimately it is up to you whether or not it feels right for you. It may not feel right for a few years, that is ok. Your path will unfold as you are ready for it.
#7 Reason - It WILL Happen but Hasn’t Happened Yet (The Timing is Different Than Predicted)
I’ve found the timing of events to be one of the most inaccurate parts of psychic readings. There are a few reasons for this:
- Spirits timing is different than ours. Spirits timing is different because they perceive time differently than we do. They try their best to give us accurate timelines, but it may be off as their perception is so different. They don’t experience time the same way we do here on earth.
- The psychic read the timing wrong. Sometimes the psychic interprets the timing different. For example, they might hear ‘July’ and assume this July. But really it is July 2 years from now. They only heard the month and not the year so interpreted it wrong.
- Free will and how much you shift your energy can affect the timing. If you don’t do the spiritual work, sit back and not take charge of your life then the timing may be slower. But if you are willing to do the work and work on what you need to do, then the timing may happen sooner than originally predicted.
- The co-creators in your reality can affect timing. The other people involved in your prediction may alter the timing. For example, if the psychic see’s you are with someone in a year (currently they are not in the same vibration as you) and they work really hard on their own personal growth, then you many meet them way sooner. As your vibrations now match, you might attract each other sooner than what was predicted.
#8 Reason - The Psychic Misinterpreted the Information
The psychic gets pieces and has to try and put them together to present to you. So, they may not put them together properly and the information will be less accurate.
Some work with spirit guides and have had many years of practise putting all the pieces together. They have a great relationship with them and understand the information presented to them.
Others may have only been working with their spirit guides for a year and therefore don’t have quite the same connection so it is harder to interpret the information. (This is not to say that newer psychics aren’t as good because they may be amazing and even better than someone who’s been doing it for 20 years – it’s just a hypothetical example).
For example, the psychic may be reading a sign from a spirit guide where the spirit guide is holding a baby. They assume this means you will have a baby. Instead of them saying “I see a baby”, they say, “you will have a baby.” This sign may not be referring to you having a baby but to your inner child. They misinterpreted the sign and presented it to you as they thought it to be.
That is why it is important for the reader to tell you what they see/hear/know instead of trying to interpret it. You usually know more of what the sign is than them because it is about your life. They are only getting pieces of a puzzle and without knowing you and your background, it can be misinterpreted.
I can say that I’ve had many predictions given to me that did happen, but in a different way than was worded by the psychic. So, always keep that in mind. How it happens or what it is may look like can be different than how you originally thought it would be.
Bottom Line: Why a Psychic Prediction May Change
As you can see, your future isn’t set in stone and your psychic prediction may change. You have free will to choose any path you want. The psychic reader will let you know what your current path looks like but one or all those elements can change if you change the road you are on. Very often, many things do come true, but not all. Other peoples free can also contribute to the outcome.
It’s great to consult with a reader for information to move you forward on the best path. It is also great for gaining clarity about the past. Sometimes you need to understand the past in order to move forward into your best future.
When it comes to the future, always take it with a grain of salt because it is very fluid. Timelines can change and the outcome can be altered. This isn’t a bad thing; it is just something to keep in mind.
I’ve never ever had a psychic prediction that was 100% accurate. But I have had many things from readings come true and they usually happened in a much different way than I had anticipated. You are the creator of your life and have the power to make it any way you want it to be.
