If you are having trouble manifesting then it might be because you are manifesting from your ego, not your higher self. What is the difference and how do you begin to manifest from your higher self and soul’s perspective? It’s about figuring out what is best for your soul, and which experiences your higher self wants to have.

I’ve seen countless people try to understand the Law of Attraction and not understand why it isn’t working for them. They wonder why it works for everyone else but not them. The reason is that they are watching other people manifest from their higher self’s perspective.

Now, you may be getting panicked and thinking “so I can’t have what I want because my higher self doesn’t want it? I thought I could manifest whatever I wanted?” You can! You see, manifesting from your higher self is what will truly make you happy.

Manifesting from your ego is what you THINK will make you happy but ultimately won’t in the long run. Your soul will feel joyous and happy if you are manifesting from your higher self. Therefore, you will be happy and get what you want.

What Is Your Higher Self? 

You are a multidimensional being and when you come down to earth, only a part of you comes and the other part stays in a different dimension. The part that stays is called your higher self.

It is your guide, and it has a map of the experiences you want to have. Your higher self can see the bigger picture and has a bird’s eye view of your life. It knows all the possible ways something can happen.

Manifesting from Your Higher Self

When you manifest from your higher self, you feel joy and elation. Whenever you are following your higher self’s guidance you feel joy; that is how you know you are on the right path.

Your higher self knows what will fulfill you and what experiences you want to have. It will guide you to having those experiences.

When you manifest from your higher self, your soul feels fulfilled. It doesn’t have that empty feeling like something is missing. You aren’t following what other people say, you are following what you truly want. You aren’t looking to the external to fulfill you as you feel joy and appreciation within.

What Is Your Ego? 

Your ego’s job is to protect you. This isn’t a bad thing; it is there for a reason. Think of it like an older big brother who thinks he knows what is best for you and doesn’t trust that you are capable of making your own decisions. But you know that you don’t need him to protect you all the time and you can make your own decisions.

So, it may try to protect you from getting hurt and convince you that you need your manifestations to happen a certain way (what it perceives to be the easiest and least painful). But it doesn’t know the bigger picture.

Your ego can only go off of what has happened in the past and its past experiences; that is all it knows. Whereas, your higher self knows the bigger picture and doesn’t base your future on your past experiences.

Manifesting from Your Ego

When manifesting from your ego you may feel like something is missing. You don’t feel fulfilled within and any fulfillment you do have is usually short-lived.

You may feel fear and scarcity and are trying to get something so that you can feel differently. You think that by getting this thing, you will be happy.

When you manifest from your ego you are trying to manifest something external so that you feel complete within. You are looking to the outside for validation instead of looking within.

You will try to manifest something so that other people will think of you differently or treat you differently. You are looking for outside approval. You care more about manifesting something because of what other people will think than what you truly want.

You manifest something based on a past experience and not necessarily on what you want now. The ego is always in the past. So, ask yourself, “do you still truly want this thing?” Your ego has a hard time letting go of the past, so it tries to recreate it instead of moving on to what truly makes you happy now.

How to Manifest from Your Higher Self 

Your ego may not know what it wants. I may only think that it knows what it wants but it doesn’t truly know what your soul wants. What satisfies the ego is only temporary. What satisfies the higher self lasts much longer and connects you with what your soul truly wants.

For example, your ego may think it wants to win the lottery. You want money and this seems like the best and easiest way to get it. But your higher self knows it won’t be happy if you win the lottery. It knows that a different journey is truly what your soul wants and what you came down here to experience. So, it will guide you towards that path. Your ego may be trying to fight it and you will have discord in your vibration.

Your higher self knows that a better path is to start your own business. It knows that if you win the lottery you won’t truly be happy. You won’t be fulfilled, and you may even feel guilty about receiving money that way.

Your higher self knows if you start a business you will meet many new amazing people, have fulfilling experiences, and the skills you acquire will leave you set for life. You’ll have a steady income and have to skills to build it however you want.

So, your higher self will be guiding you on a different path than your ego. It is up to you to listen to your higher self. If you can truly listen to your higher self’s calling and work with your ego, you will truly be happy and fulfilled.

Your ego wants you to be happy just as your higher self does. It just doesn’t always know how that will happen. So, it will try to come up with the best way it can. This is ok, it is only trying to help. Thank your ego for looking out for you.

Manifesting from your higher self will be something that you want right now. It won’t be something that you wanted in the past that you have moved on from.

You will be manifesting it because you truly want it and not as a way to get other people’s approval. You really won’t care what other people think as you aren’t trying to impress them.

When manifesting from your higher self, you aren’t trying to fill a void or a hole that you have within yourself. That is how the ego manifest. You already feel fulfilled, and you are manifesting this thing because it adds to that joy. But your happiness isn’t dependent on whether or not you manifest this thing.

Go for the feeling over the thing. How do you want to feel when you get your goal? Write down the feeling and allow it to unfold in the best way for you.

When you manifest from your higher self, you will be guided to manifest what you truly want to make your soul happy. You are manifesting from a place of abundance and fulfillment. There will be no discord as this is ultimately what your soul wants.

When you manifest from your ego, it will feel like fear, scarcity, and trying to get something so that you feel differently. You will be trying to manifest in order to receive outside validation.  

You will have a ton of resistance if you are only manifesting from your ego as your higher self is trying to lead you to where you really should be going. How do you know when you are manifesting from your higher self? It will feel good.

When you are following your soul’s calling then you feel good. Your soul is happy and jumping with joy and things come much easier. Next time you think you can’t manifest really look at what you want and ask, “is this intention coming from my higher self or my ego?”
